I love substack. I dont lovee notes. You're absolutely right that it just sucks you into more screen time while missing what we came here for. I hope hou find the balance you are looking for. I enjoy reading your articles no matter how sporadic.
It is incredibly brave of you to refuse to turn a soulful special interest into just another hustle, and you deserve to feel so proud for honoring that delicate, complex boundary between needing structure to create and needing freedom to breathe ✨
I enjoy reading your work very much. I don’t see every piece because I’m also trying to be the Mistress of My Own Screentime - and that’s ok. I subscribed because I’m interested to see what you have to say. I don’t need you to publish every second day to keep my attention, it’s what you write about and how you write about it that keeps me interested. You know yourself very well, I think, and in my very humble opinion, you should embrace the fact that you’re pretty darn good at being yourself.
Your candid sharing is brave and relatable. I’m a reader of Substack and someone who hasn’t written or published anything yet- know that any and all content you put out is inspiring!
Welcome back! I really resonate with this. I fell into the social media hustle trap years ago on Instagram and got so fixed to the systems I created for myself to post/interact/produce content without even really knowing why I was doing it in the end. Really don’t want that to happen here but I can feel it going that way. It’s so hard having something I love (the writing and connection on here) whilst also maintaining some balance with it all. I am also working on healthier phone use/screen time at the moment and trying to maintain a sense of alignment with what I set out to do here and what I want from my life - long term and day to day. Not easy! I hope you find what works for you 💜
I resonate with your dilemma, and I'm glad you shared this piece with us. If your other readers are like me, they support you and look forward to your posts.
It's difficult (for me) to step back from the algorithm, and I hope you find a way to maintain a balance. 🙏🏼

It’s really good to see you back, and I appreciate the honesty in what you shared.
There’s something meaningful about naming that tension so clearly… wanting structure, but also staying aligned with what you actually set out to do.
However you choose to approach this next season, I’m here holding space with you.
There’s no one way this has to look, and it’s good to see you honoring what feels true for you right now.
